Should we believe that Meghan Thee Stallion sacrificed her mother??

Meghan thee Stallion is a new prominent figure in the music industry. She has been around for a few years now but her popularity soured in 2019. Around her big break, her mother passed away from cancer. Her mother was also her manager and her passing away at that time was very hard on Meghan. But even so, she continued to soar and is now an award winning artist in the eyes of the media and the world. In light of her success, critics and internet users alike believe that her success is due to something much more sinister than pure talent. They believe that she sacrificed her mother to the Illuminati or whomever is in charge of the popularity levels of celebrities. The evidence presented by theorists is the number of extremely famous celebrities with immediate or really close family passing away right around great times of success in their careers. Should we believe it?

Keeley

Brian Keeley gave us a set of criteria to evaluate whether a something is a conspiracy theory or not. Meg thee Stallion sacrificing her mother and other celebrities performing similar sacrifices definitely fits. There is a historical event(s) being explained, aka the death of her mother, she is a small group or person acting in secret, aka her and the Illuminati, and the small group is not necessarily omnipotent, meaning the Illuminati doesn't control every action taken, it is simply a key factor in the whole conspiracy.

Keeley also provides us with a set of criteria to evaluate whether a conspiracy theory is warranted or unwarranted. His criteria directly reflects those that are unwarranted. First, the theory must contradict the official story. Second, the intentions or intended goal must be inherently bad. The end result should or will bring about a cost for others. Third, conspiracies often connect events that would otherwise be unrelated. Fourth, true intentions are kept from the general public. Lastly, the theory relies heavily on errant data.

Should We Believe that Hot Girl Meg Really Killed Her Mom?

Lets evaluate the Meghan theory based on Keeleys criteria for an unwarranted CT.

1. contradiction- The official story given by Meghan herself is that her mother had been battling a brain tumor for a long time that the cancer simply won at a saddening time in Meghan's career and that the reason she has continued on is because it is what her mother would want.
2. bad intentions- Meghan'a intentions in the theory are to gain fame and money and power at the expense of her mother's life. Murder is sinister in itself but adding selfishness and personal gain to the mix is undoubtedly bad.
3. unrelated connections- generally no one would connect the death of a close and loved family member who played a vital role in an artists success to their success. Many would just attribute it to inspiration and drive. Not an outcome of the success itself.
4. Secrecy from the public- the general public seems to be in constant disbelief of this theory of Meghan and every other example of possible sacrifice for fame and power.
5. errant data- The only errant data that could be present is the fact that the sickness of Meghan's mother wasn't well know and that in other cases, events leading up to the deaths of these people don't seem to always match at every mention or the events are never really said out of privacy and respect.

Based on this information, I say that it is okay to believe the theory if you want. I believe that it all depends on your belief in the Illuminati and your belief in the similarities of the familial deaths of those high in wealth and status and popularity. It fits the criteria almost perfectly to be UNWARRANTED, yet the little pieces that fit together make sense.

Also note that Keeley's definition of unwarranted as stated above, is the definition of warranted for others.

In conclusion, warranted or unwarranted, you decided.
